Last week it was revealed that Seth Rollins suffered a shoulder injury during his match with Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel, and Adam Pearce stripped Rollins of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship during this week’s episode of Raw.
WWE has obviously had to shift their creative plans due to Seth Rollins injury as it was recently reported that plans for The Vision to turn on Rollins were moved up. It was also recently reported that Seth Rollins was expected to lead one of the teams for WarGames at Survivor Series this year.
With Seth Rollins now sidelined the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that there are still plans for Roman Reigns & CM Punk to team up and face a Vision-led team. There was some speculation that due to all of the injuries recently WWE could be pivoting toward the MFTs vs. The Wyatt Sicks for WarGames, but that doesn’t appear to be the case.
Originally it was reported that the babyface team was set to consist of Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Jey Uso, Jacob Fatu and either Jimmy Uso or LA Knight. WWE may have to make more adjustments as Jacob Fatu was written off TV so he can undergo dental work which is expected to keep him sidelined, possibly until the end of the year.
Stay tuned for updates.
