A few years ago WWE decided to expand WrestleMania and turn it into a two night event and it doesn’t look like there’s any turning back now. WrestleMania will be a two night event once again this year which has left many to wonder which match will main event night 1 as Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns is expected to main event night 2.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently reported that Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley is likely to get the main event spot for night 1 due to political reasons.
Fightful Select is now reporting that if Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley is set to main event night 1 then people who would typically be in the know, and many talent associated have not been told that’s the case. It’s also being reported that at one point Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn vs. The Usos was slated to be the main event for night 1 and several people in the company are still pushing for that to happen.
It was also noted that Logan Paul vs. Seth Rollins is set for night 1, and that there’s been no word on Asuka vs. Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship being considered for the main event.
