On Sunday night Seth Rollins challenged Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam, and he managed to defeat The Beast to win the belt for the second time in his career. Now all eyes are looking ahead to Clash of Champions
Following Lesnar’s loss at SummerSlam it was announced on Monday that Brock Lesnar will not be getting a rematch.
At the end of Raw this week a possible Seth Rollins vs. Braun Strowman match was teased, and it looks like WWE will be going in that direction.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that unless Vince McMahon changes his mind, current plans call for Seth Rollins to defend the Universal Championship against Braun Strowman at Clash of Champions next month.
It was also noted that Braun was put in the spot because WWE “needs contenders.”
