AEW World Champion CM Punk recently returned to AEW and he got right down to business when he confronted interim AEW World Champion Jon Moxley. Many fans assumed that AEW would save the inevitable Punk vs. Moxley match for the All Out pay-per-view next month, but that wasn’t the case.
Punk and Moxley faced off on Dynamite this week with both titles on the line, and Jon Moxley became Undisputed AEW World Champion when he defeated Punk in a short match that lasted a little over three minutes.
Despite the fact that the match took place on Dynamite already Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that current plans call for CM Punk and Jon Moxley to face off in a rematch at All Out.
The rematch is set to be the main event of All Out, but Meltzer didn’t know if any stipulations would be added to the bout this time around. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
