John Cena has been focusing on his acting career over the last few years which means that wrestling fans don’t get to see him on WWE programming all that often. Heading into WrestleMania season there was a lot of speculation regarding Cena’s status for the show, but his involvement with Mania was confirmed earlier this week.
The former WWE Champion returned to Raw where he was confronted by Austin Theory, and John Cena accepted a challenge for a United States Championship match with Austin Theory on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
It looks like we could be seeing more of John Cena in the weeks to come as the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that he finished up filming for his movie Ricky Stinicky on March 4th, which means that he will be available to appear on TV over the next few weeks.
As of this writing WWE has yet to confirm any more upcoming appearances for John Cena on WWE programming, so it will be interesting to see how his match with Austin Theory is built up over the next few weeks. Stay tuned for updates.
