CM Punk hasn’t appeared on AEW programming since September of 2022, but it looks like the former AEW World Champion will be returning sooner rather than later. Punk is expected to return to All Elite Wrestling next month and the company is also expected to launch a new show called Collision that will air on Saturdays.
It’s been rumored that Collision will be used to split the AEW roster, but the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that it will be less of a hard roster split than previously believed.
The idea is that CM Punk will be the star of Collision most weeks. However, he will appear on Dynamite when needed and talent who have unresolved issues with Punk will appear on Collision when he’s on Dynamite. The hope is that the issues can be resolved, but that hasn’t happened yet.
All of this is said to be up in the air right now as the plans haven’t been finalized. It was also noted that Dynamite and Rampage will be taped on Wednesdays while Collision and ROH will be taped on Saturdays.
