Shortly after WrestleMania 34, Paige replaced Daniel Bryan as SmackDown Live General Manager, but a few weeks ago she was relieved of her duties when the McMahons took back WWE.
The McMahons are now in control of both brands, and the concept of having General Managers run the shows has been abandoned for now.
Shane McMahon said that Paige isn’t going anywhere, her role is just going to change. However, fans shouldn’t expect to see her at any of the upcoming WWE events over the next few days because PWInsider is reporting that the former Divas Champion is not on the road with the company this week.
Paige seemed to receive mostly favorable reviews from the fans in regards to her performance as SmackDown GM, and it’s also been reported that WWE officials thought she was great in the role.
But unfortunately Paige as GM just doesn’t seem to fit the company’s new direction right now.
As far as what she’s going to do next, there’s been speculation that she will be helping to promote the movie “Fighting With My Family” and that she could end up working as an analyst on WWE kickoff show panels.
What do you think WWE should do with Paige now that she’s no longer General Manager of the blue brand? Sound off in the comments below.
