As of right now WWE WrestleMania 36 is moving forward, an the event is set to take place from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on Sunday, April 5.
However, there is pressure on WWE to postpone the event, and Tampa officials recently said that they will “pull the plug” on the Show of Shows if WWE doesn’t make a move.
TMZ reports that one high placed source is claiming that there’s still a chance WrestleMania 36 will happen in some capacity.
Nothing is set in stone just yet, but it’s being reported that one option WWE is considering is to hold WrestleMania 36 and broadcast the show live with no fans in attendance.
WWE issued the following statement last week noting that the company is monitoring the situation:
“The health and safety of our fans, performers and employees are our top priorities and we are monitoring the situation closely with our partners and government officials in Tampa Bay. We remain committed to hosting WrestleMania at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday, April 5, and like many other entertainment properties in the U.S., there are currently no plans to cancel or postpone our upcoming events.”
