F4Wonline.com reports that WWE is saying they do not have dates confirmed for the former ECW Arena in Philadelphia. There was contact made with the arena for possible shows on Friday, May 15th and Saturday, May 16th but WWE sources say there are no shows scheduled for either night at this point.
According to PWInsider, who broke the news of NXT possibly running at the venue this morning, the deal between the arena and WWE has not been completed. It was noted earlier that WWE had “holds” on those two dates in May but like any other situation, those holds could be changed to confirmed dates or dropped altogether.
One of the reasons WWE is looking at running in the Northeast that weekend is because they have the Payback pay-per-view in Maryland that Sunday. We’ll keep you updated on NXT possibly debuting at the former ECW Arena.
