Professional wrestlers put their bodies on the line every time they step into the ring, and last week on Friday Night SmackDown, Nikki Bella suffered an injury when The Bella Twins faced off against Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss.
PWInsider is reporting that Nikki Bella suffered an ankle injury during the match, and the belief is that Nikki rolled her left ankle during an exchange with Charlotte Flair.
At one point during the match Nikki Bella went to the floor and did not return. The WWE Hall of Famer was checked out backstage after the match, but the severity of the injury is unknown.
The Bella Twins reunited back in January when Brie returned to the ring during the women’s Royal Rumble match. On the following episode of Raw they made it clear that they had their sights set on the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
It’s been rumored that The Bella Twins, Nia Jax & Lash Legend, Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss and Lyra Valkyria & Bayley are set to face off in a multi-team match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania in a few weeks.
