Update On Matt Riddle’s Backstage Heat, Riddle Calling Out Brock Lesnar

Matt Riddle had a big night at NXT TakeOver: Portland, as he and Pete Dunne managed to capture the NXT Tag Team Titles.

Riddle has certainly become one of the more controversial names on the NXT roster, and it’s been rumored that he has some backstage heat.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the current view on top is that some people feel Matt Riddle has got magic, and there are some who don’t see it.

It’s being said that the key to the Matt Riddle situation is his “lack of understanding of politics” when it comes to him trying to do programs with names like Goldberg and Brock Lesnar without going to them first.

One person compared him to Randy Orton when Randy Orton first became a big star, and they don’t want someone like that right now for harmony’s sake.

It was also noted that there seems to be a disconnect, as WWE’s social media accounts have posted his comments, and he once again called out Brock Lesnar at a recent live event in Las Vegas. It appears that someone wants the situation to be turned into an angle, and they’re trying to play both sides.
