WrestleMania season is in full swing, and we’re only a few weeks away from the Show of Shows. So far only a few matches have been confirmed for the event, and it was recently reported that WWE officials are making major changes to the card.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that there are currently 14 matches on the WrestleMania 36 card, and beyond Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Rhipley for the NXT Women’s Title, there are no other NXT matches planned for the show.
John Cena is currently set to return to SmackDown on Friday. Original plans called for him to face Elias, but that match is reportedly off the card. It’s not clear at this point in time who Cena will be facing at Mania.
As of right now none of the Raw matches have changed for the card, such as Drew McIntyre vs. Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker vs. AJ Styles.
It’s rumored that Taker will be appearing at Super ShowDown to set up his match with AJ Styles.
The SmackDown side of the Mania card will become more clear after The Fiend’s Universal Title defense against Goldberg at Super ShowDown.
