Update On Estimated PPV Buys For AEW Double Or Nothing

A few weeks ago the stars of All Elite Wrestling made a statement when the Double or Nothing pay-per-view aired live from Las Vegas.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it’s estimated that AEW’s Double or Nothing pay-per-view, did between 98,000 and 113,000 PPV buys worldwide. It’s estimated that 71,000 were U.S buys with those buys being split evenly between traditional PPV and B/R Live. That’s notable because event’s don’t normally do 50/50 splits between streaming and PPV.

The WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view recently did 15,700 buys on traditional pay-per-view, as most people stream WWE pay-per-views through the network.

Of the 15,700 people who purchased MITB, it’s estimated that around 397 of them also purchased Double or Nothing.

The Observer ran the numbers on audiences who watch, and purchase WWE pay-per-views, and compared them to people who watched Double or Nothing, and it’s being said that those who have seen the data are amazed.

The belief was that both WWE and AEW would be drawing from the same pro wrestling fanbase, but according to the data there is shockingly little crossover between audiences.
