A few weeks ago Edge wrestled the last match on his WWE contract when he faced off against Sheamus in Toronto. The Rated R Superstar has confirmed that his WWE contract expires this month which has led to a lot of talk about his next move.
It was recently reported by PWInsider that Edge had been removed from WWE’s internal roster, and the belief among some people in the company was that Edge would be heading to AEW.
PWInsider is now reporting that Edge has since been added back to the internal roster, but not as an active performer. The Hall of Famer is no longer listed as part of the Raw or SmackDown roster.
It’s being said that Edge is now part of a “miscellaneous” list made up of personalities who are signed that aren’t currently working on TV. Other names on the list include Steve Austin, Big E, Undertaker, Titus O’Neill and Braun Strowman. The aforementioned talents are connected to the company, but they are not actively performing.
