Cody Rhodes made his big return to WWE at WrestleMania 38 and he kicked off a feud with Seth Rollins. Rhodes defeated Rollins on the Grandest Stage of Them All, but unfortunately he suffered an injury that sidelined him a few months later.
The American Nightmare is currently recovering after undergoing surgery for a torn pectoral muscle, but the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Cody appears to be ahead of schedule when it comes to healing.
Cody is working with DDP and everything seems to be normal for him as far as his real life goes. However, he can only use extremely light weights when working his upper body.
There’s currently no firm date for Cody’s return, but the belief is that WWE will keep it a secret in order to get a surprise pop. The Day 1 premium live event and the Royal Rumble seem to be the frontrunners for a potential Cody Rhodes return.
