Update On Cesaro’s Status Following His WWE Departure

Claudio Castagnoli, formerly known as Cesaro in WWE, quietly parted ways with the company earlier this year when his contract expired. Fans have been waiting to find out what he could be doing next, and following AEW Dynamite there’s been a lot of speculation that he could be Bryan Danielson’s replacement at Forbidden Door and Blood & Guts.

Fightful Select reports that they’ve spoken to several promoters who confirmed that they reached out to Claudio Castagnoli in recent months, but there didn’t seem to be much interest.

However, it was noted that Claudio has been in the ring multiple times over the last several weeks, and he’s been training at Flatbacks in Orlando. There’s currently no word on whether or not he will be Bryan Danielson’s replacement, but it has been confirmed that he is training in the ring once again.

Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
