On Friday night SmackDown made the jump to FOX, and in the main event Brock Lesnar challenged Kofi Kingston for the WWE Championship.
Lesnar made short work of Kofi, as he put him away with the F5 and pinned him to become the new champion in a matter of seconds.
After the match ended Rey Mysterio made his entrance with Cain Velasquez by his side, and Cain attacked Brock before The Beast retreated with his title.
According to ESPN.com, Cain Velasquez has not yet signed with WWE, but he confirmed that he is in advanced talks to sign a deal with the company.
Velasquez also reportedly said that he is not officially retired from UFC, but pro wrestling will likely be his focus right now.
He confirmed that no deal has been signed with WWE, and he’s also in talks with AEW and NJPW.
