Bryan Danielson has been in the professional wrestling business for a long time, but it’s no big secret that Bryan has had issues with his neck. Last year Bryan made it clear that he would have to step away from the ring and he indicated that he may need neck surgery at some point.
During a recent Q&A on Fightful Select a fan asked if Bryan ended up having neck surgery. Sean Ross Sapp noted that if Bryan did have surgery he hadn’t heard anything about it, and the last word on Bryan is that he was trying to rehab his neck.
Bryan did media at the All In Texas ticket event and noted that he will be at the event in some capacity. The former champion has been backstage at numerous AEW shows recently working with the company.
Back in 20221, Bryan Danielson made his debut with All Elite Wrestling and he quickly became one of the top stars on the roster. Danielson main evented All In last year at Wembley Stadium and he defeated Swerve Strickland to win the AEW World Championship.
Following the show Bryan declared that his run as a full-time wrestler would come to an end when he lost the title. Danielson ended up dropping the title to Jon Moxley at the AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view in October of 2024, and he hasn’t wrestled since.
Bryan Danielson has refrained from officially announcing that he’s completely retired, but he has made it clear that his full-time wrestling career is officially over. Only time will tell if he will end up stepping back into the ring in the future.
Stay tuned for updates.
