Brock Lesnar has not appeared on WWE programming since he faced off against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam in August of 2023. It was rumored that WWE had WrestleMania plans for Lesnar earlier this year, but those plans were canceled due to the Vince McMahon lawsuit. After Brock Lesnar’s nickname was referenced on Raw this week it was reported that the company is in talks with the former Universal Champion, but that report is now being denied.

Fightful Select reports that talk of WWE being in talks with Brock Lesnar was denied at a high level with one source saying, “There are no creative plans in place for Lesnar, and if conversations have occurred, we’ve not been briefed on that.”

It’s being reported that Brock Lesnar is one of a few names that is not to be mentioned on WWE programming over the last few months. Brock Lesnar is not to be mentioned in video packages, promos, or on commentary if it can be avoided.

Cody Rhodes did reference Brock Lesnar’s nickname on Raw this week, but as of this week people close to Cody Rhodes have heard nothing about Brock Lesnar’s status changing.

According to the report Brock Lesnar has not been mentioned creatively in some time. One source noted that they haven’t heard any updates on Lesnar in months with another source saying that they would be surprised if the company brought him back in the middle of a federal investigation.
