Bray Wyatt has only wrestled one match on TV since he returned to WWE last year, but it seemed that WWE was building up a big match between Wyatt and Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania 39. However, it was recently reported that Bray Wyatt has been sidelined due to an illness and his status for Mania is now in doubt.
PWInsider is reporting that neither Bray Wyatt nor Uncle Howdy are currently scheduled to be part of the Friday Night SmackDown tapings this week. With only a few shows to go before WrestleMania 39 this seems to indicate that there aren’t currently any plans to build up the Bray Wyatt vs. Bobby Lashley match for the event.
Despite the fact that Bray Wyatt has been absent from WWE programming Bobby Lashley recently took to Twitter to say that he’s ready for a fight at WrestleMania. It was recently reported that WWE has been discussing possible backup plans for Lashley at WrestleMania and you can get more on that here.
Bray Wyatt last wrestled at a WWE live event in Rockford, IL on February 26 when he defeated LA Knight. There’s currently no word on when he could be returning to WWE programming. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
