Big Cass officially made his return to WWE a few weeks ago when he joined the SmackDown Live brand, and he was immediately put into a feud with former General Manager Daniel Bryan.
A feud with Daniel Bryan certainly seemed that it would be a big opportunity for Cass, but it was recently reported that he went off script during a segment on the go-home show for Backlash.
Cass called a little person out to the ring who was dressed as Daniel Bryan, then he proceeded to hit him with a big boot. The big boot was approved, but Cass followed up with some punches that WWE officials did not approve.
Now fans are wondering what’s next for Big Cass, and CageSideSeats notes that there appears to be some truth to reports of his backstage heat, but it’s believed he will continue to feud with Daniel Bryan.
The reason for his feud with Bryan being extended is that WWE officials don’t want to rush Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz, and they don’t have any other plans lined up.
Daniel Bryan was the one who ended up picking up the victory at Backlash after he made Big Cass tap out, but in the end it was Cass who got the last laugh when he delivered a post-match beatdown to Bryan.
If this feud does indeed continue, it will be interesting to see what Big Cass does next.
