Andrade has been with WWE for a number of years now, but it looks like he’s trying to break away from the company. It was recently reported that the former NXT Champion requested to be released from his contract, and now fans are waiting to see where his career will go next.
PWInsider is reporting that Andrade was not backstage at Monday Night Raw this week, and that his request to be released from his WWE contract has not been granted.
Andrade was getting a healthy amount of TV time when he joined the main roster, but he has not appeared on television or competed in a WWE ring since October of 2020.
Charlotte Flair has confirmed that she pitched an idea for her to be paired with Andrade on WWE programming, but obviously that never came to fruition.
