Injuries are never planned nor are they something anyone wants to see happen, especially when you’re talking about someone like AJ Styles. But The Phenomenal One was in Madison Square Garden on Friday night and he took part in a spot that left plenty of people worried.
After taking a beat down from Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn the referee threw up the “X signal” to signify that Styles was legitimately injured. But as it turns out, this might have just been part of the show.
Whether or not it was believed at the time that AJ Styles was actually injured is beside the point. Because The Phenomenal One soon re-emerged from the back and he brought a friend with him in the form of a steel chair to run off the Yep Movement.
If Styles was really injured there is no way WWE would let him run back out and take part in a physical spot in the ring. The fact that Styles also walked by himself is also a very good sign that he’s okay.
It was noted that AJ Styles was limping when he came back out but he could have just been selling an injury like the master he is.
I’m sure like everyone else on the roster that AJ Styles’ body is worn down and he might be in some pain. But it’s obviously not enough to keep him from coming to work which is a really great thing because he has a rather important meeting scheduled with Shinsuke Nakamura on April 8th in New Orleans.
