Fans haven’t seen Jeff Hardy in a while as the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion underwent surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff, and he’s been out of action since October of 2017.
Estimated recovery time following surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff is 4 to 6 months, and it looks like Hardy’s recovery is going well.
PWInsider reports that Jeff was in Birmingham, Alabama on Tuesday to evaluate the progress he’s made with his surgery, and he’s preparing to make his return to the ring this spring. Hardy is said to be in the early range for a potential return, but it’s unknown at this point if he’ll be ready for WrestleMania 34 on April 8.
As far as what’s planned for him when he returns, it’s been speculated that Jeff could work with his brother Matt to help build the Woken Universe in WWE.
Former Impact Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion EC3 recently made an appearance at NXT Takeover: Philadelphia, and it’s been confirmed that he’s now part of the roster.
However, EC3 didn’t work the recent NXT TV tapings, and a fan recently asked Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer if the reason why he’s being held off TV had to do with Impact Wrestling, and Meltzer noted that it’s simply a WWE decision.
