Jason Jordan has been out of action for weeks now, and it was recently reported that the former Raw Tag Team Champion has been dealing with a neck injury. Jordan’s wife downplayed the reports on social media saying that he’ll be back in action soon, but WWE later confirmed on Tuesday that he had undergone surgery to repair the injury.
The good news is that the surgery was said to have been minimally invasive, and a WrestleMania match doesn’t appear to be off the table at this point in time.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Jordan underwent a posterior cervical microdiscectomy to decompress the nerve issue that was causing problems in his neck.
At this point in time there’s no word on when he will be returning to the ring, but a WrestleMania match for Jason Jordan is said to be “not a dead issue” right now, even though it’s far from a certainty.
It’s been rumored that WWE officials have been slowly building toward a match between Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan for the big event, hence why there’s been so much tension between the two awkward partners as of late.
But if Jordan isn’t cleared in time for the Show of Shows then the creative team will likely have to come up with something else for Seth Rollins to do.
