It’s being reported by PWInsider that James Storm was indeed backstage at NXT Takeover: Respect. Also according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, James Storm is currently talking to WWE about taking on a player-coach role in NXT.
James Storm was spotted at Full Sail University with Billy Gunn on Wednesday prior to NXT Takeover: Respect. Many fans were hoping to see The Cowboy make a surprise debut at the event but he didn’t appear on camera. What’s interesting however is that Storm started promoting WWE’s #RiseAboveCancer campaign shortly before NXT Takeover: Respect started. Storm also changed his profile picture to support Susan G. Komen and sport a WWE logo.
Storm also referenced the WWE Network price point.
It’s also worth noting that James Storm was quite enthusiastic on social media throughout the day.
