Dolph Ziggler is back and promises to be better than ever… we just have no idea what he’s going to do yet. Judging by his promo on SmackDown Live it doesn’t sound like he really knows what he’ll do at this point either.
He hinted how he’ll blend every gimmick currently getting over into one amalgamation of a character. Therefore it might be very possible Ziggler’s newest incarnation on SmackDown Live might just be a parody of modern-day pro wrestling as a whole. But who really knows what WWE has planned for him at this point?
Dave Meltzer questioned on Wrestling Observer Radio how Ziggler was back and his new gimmick is that he’s a complainer.
“I thought that was his gimmick before he left,” Bryan Alvarez responded. “He said that ‘I figured out how to get over’ — first off he complains that his big return was backstage in a skit.”
Ziggler went on to say how he was going to play guitar, glow, sing, dance and do a whole litany of other acts crowds seem to give a response. He is seemingly going to steal everybody’s gimmick who is getting over and see what works.
Although right now it’s uncertain exactly what they’re going to do with Dolph Ziggler he couldn’t have come off as more bitter in his promo on SmackDown Live.
We’ll just have to wait and see because The Show Off still has a loyal fan base. He’s good enough to make his microphone work believable if he’s given the right things to say. When he’s performing stand up comedy he doesn’t need writers giving him verbiage so they could possibly just let him shoot a little, after all he has no shortage of opinion.
Whatever Ziggler is given to do on SmackDown Live we’re sure he will go all in because that’s how he rolls. He started off as a cheerleader in the Spirit Squad after all.
