Monday night wasn’t a great night for The Shield. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins had to move forward without Roman Reigns as he didn’t appear on Raw this week, and they ended up getting beat down by Samoa Joe, Sheamus and Cesaro.
Ambrose and Rollins teamed up with Jason Jordan to take on Joe, Sheamus and Cesaro, and after the match was over Ambrose was brutally assaulted.
It was later reported that Dean Ambrose is dealing with a legitimate arm injury, and the beat down was used to cover for the injury.
WWE has announced that Ambrose was evaluated after Raw and that more details on his condition will be available shortly. The following update was posted:
“Dean Ambrose sustained an injury to his right arm during Raw’s Six-Man Tag Team Match, and the damage was exacerbated when his opponents, Samoa Joe and Raw Tag Team Champions Cesaro & Sheamus, assaulted The Lunatic Fringe in the trainer’s room. The attack culminated when Joe slammed a road case onto Ambrose’s arm, leaving him writhing in pain. Ambrose was taken to a nearby medical facility for X-rays and evaluation, and more details on his condition should be available tomorrow.”
At this point it’s unknown if Ambrose will be missing time in the ring, but with the Royal Rumble only a few weeks away hopefully he’ll be able to get back to doing what he does best as soon as possible.
