Daniel Bryan looks like he’s having a great time as SmackDown Live General Manager but he would much rather be wrestling.
The former WWE and ROH Champion was diagnosed with having some concerning head trauma by WWE doctors and deemed inappropriate to wrestle. But ever since then D-Bry has been going out of his way to recover and find doctors who will give him better news.
Apparently, Daniel Bryan found a doctor who has implemented cutting-edge techniques in order to heal the lesions in Bryan’s brain which WWE doctors found so concerning. It looks like if things go well for Daniel Bryan he could receive clearance from his doctors soon enough. But that might not change WWE’s doctors’ minds.
Ring Of Honor COO Joe Koff recently spoke to AV Club where he went into a little bit more detail concerning the possibility of seeing Daniel Bryan in an ROH ring. He also gave fans an idea of when to expect this if Daniel Bryan does make the decision to return to ROH.
“I’m not gonna give you odds, I wouldn’t even know how to set those. Bryan’s under contract with the WWE, from what I understand, until September 2018. If he chooses not to renew that contract, and he is able to wrestle from a health standpoint, I would welcome him. It would be a triumphant return.
“I think we would be the right place for him, the right fan appreciation, the right respect from the industry plus management plus everybody. But there’s so many variables in that. Even though it’s not far away, a year in wrestling is a long period of time. But he is more than welcomed to come back and I would love to have him on our roster.”
It would be great to see Daniel Bryan return to the ring, but if he does wind up back in the squared circle like he would prefer let’s just hope he will keep it safe. Or at least as safe as he can take it while competing in the squared circle.
Therefore if you’re anxious to see the Bearded GOAT perform once more, it might be only a year away.
