Latest Update On Chris Jericho’s In Ring Return

Whenever Chris Jericho goes away, we get sad. We know he’s okay, and it’s great that we get to hear him every week on his Talk Is Jericho podcast. But whenever the Ayatollah Of Rock n Rolla is absent from WWE television he is missed. Jericho recently took a DDT on the entrance ramp to support the reason why he’s taking his current sabbatical from WWE. But don’t worry, he said he’ll be back

Chris Jericho is currently touring with his band, Fozzy. They’re book throughout practically every day in May and into June and have three dates in the United Kingdom lined up. It really is a whirlwind tour schedule. It’s a good thing Jericho is used to traveling.

It turns out Chris Jericho might be back faster than fans might have imagined as well. WWE has just added Chris Jericho to their live events on June 30th and July 1st in Tokyo, Japan at the Ryogoku Kokugikan.

This doesn’t necessarily mean Jericho will be back on WWE’s televised story lines by then. But it is a pretty good indication he’ll be at least somewhat over with his commitments to Fozzy. After all, Fozzy’s last tour date on their official website is listed as June 24th in Seattle. So it might be possible that heading to Japan would be a good way for Jericho to get back into the swing of things once more.

It’s interesting to note WWE’s upcoming Japanese tour dates look like Raw brand shows. When Chris Jericho returns to television he is expected to be on SmackDown Live. They could really use him there too. Due to SmackDown’s declining ratings WWE has asked John Cena to come back sooner than expected. So having Jericho on Tuesday nights would be a really good thing for the blue brand.
