Bray Wyatt returned to in-ring competition when The Fiend defeated Finn Balor at SummerSlam back in August, and since then The Fiend has been one of the most talked about competitors in all of professional wrestling.
It was announced a few weeks ago that Seth Rollins would be defending the Universal Championship against The Fiend inside Hell in a Cell, and when they finally faced off the lights stayed red for the entire match.
At one point Seth Rollins put The Fiend through a table with a frog splash, then hit him with the stomp, but Wyatt no sold the stomp and stood up right away.
Later in the match Rollins hit Wyatt with the stomp three times in a row and the fans booed. The Fiend got back up and Seth hit him with the Pedigree then another stomp, but The Fiend kicked out at one.
Seth hit the stomp five more times but it seemed to have little effect on The Fiend.
Rollins grabbed a chair, stood over The Fiend then hit him in the head with a chair, but Bray Wyatt once again kicked out at one. Seth put the chair on Bray Wyatt’s head again, then smashed it with a ladder and he still kicked out.
Seth then stacked the chair and the ladder on The Fiend’s head and smashed them with a tool box. Rollins added the box to the pile then grabbed a sledgehammer and the referee tried to talk him out of using it, but he hit the pile with the hammer then the ref called for the bell.
The fans were not happy as they loudly booed and chanted “bulls**t.” The fans chanted for AEW as The Fiend was being put on a stretcher, but The Fiend then got back up and locked in the Mandible Claw.
The Fiend brought Seth the outside and hit him with Sister Abigail on the floor as the fans continued to boo and some fans chanted for AEW again. He then locked in the Mandible Claw one more time as the lights flickered and the show went off the air.
Well, @WWERollins may still be your #UniversalChampion, but #TheFiend @WWEBrayWyatt has the last laugh. #HIAC pic.twitter.com/WjJtQepB3H
