Vince McMahon sent shockwaves throughout the wrestling world on Friday when he officially announced his retirement, and it seems that the landscape is destined to change now that he’s stepped away.
Wade Keller of PWTorch is reporting that he spoke to AEW stars who are unhappy with the company or have deals that are expiring, and Vince McMahon’s retirement is viewed as a positive development as WWE may show interest in them in the future.
It was noted that wrestlers who previously did not see WWE as an option due to Vince McMahon are now looking at the situation differently. With Triple H once again in his position as Executive Vice President of Talent Relations it’s expected that the company will be more open to signing independent wrestlers again.
