For weeks now talk of a new wrestling company have been making the rounds on the internet. It’s been rumored that Chris Jericho, Jim Ross and The Elite are putting together a wrestling company with financial backing from the Khan family.
Jericho and Jim Ross have denied the rumors, but some recently filed trademarks seem to confirm that the members of The Elite are involved.
The trademarks were for terms such as All Elite Wrestling, AEW, Tuesday Night Dynamite and Double or Nothing.
Now WrestleTalk is reporting that at least two stars on the WWE main roster have been informally approached about signing with the potential company once their contracts expire.
According to the report, both wrestlers have accepted the proposed deal and are expected to part ways with WWE in April.
However, it was also noted that even though trademarks have been filed, the confirmation of the deal depends on the company getting a TV or streaming deal that is financially worthwhile, and chances of that happening are said to be 50/50 at this point.
