Recently there’s been a lot of talk about championships ahead of the WWE Draft as Triple H introduced the world to the new WWE World Heavyweight Championship on Raw this week. The Game also declared that the title will belong to whichever brand Roman Reigns is not on following the WWE Draft.
With Raw not having a world champion the United States Championship has been the top title on the red brand. Gunther has also been holding things down with a historic Intercontinental Championship reign on SmackDown.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that names like Brock Lesnar, Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Usos, Owens, Zayn, Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley will likely be the first to be drafted.
It was also noted that WWE will probably be looking to protect Austin Theory and Gunther which could be an indication that the US Title and Intercontinental Title will be staying on Raw and SmackDown respectively.
The WWE Draft will kick off tonight on Friday Night SmackDown and it will continue on Monday Night Raw next week. Stay tuned for updates.
