SmackDown Live was left without Tag Team Titles and a Women’s Title thanks to the WWE Draft.
Daniel Bryan has said that SmackDown will be getting its own Tag Team Titles and a Women’s Title, he just didn’t say when. It looks like it could be tonight, as Bryan announced via Twitter that not one, but two titles will debut tonight on SmackDown.
A Reddit user who goes by “Da Belt Guy” on BeltTalk.com is claiming that the tag titles will not sport the same look as the tag titles on Raw. Instead of the copper penny design they will be something new. He’s also claiming that the Women’s Title will have a white strap like the Raw title with blue behind the WWE logo.
The same Reddit user recently broke the news about the Universal Title design and the final design was pretty close to what WWE ended up using. He noted that the strap for the Universal Title wasn’t supposed to be red, and some people argued against having a red strap, but ultimately the red strap was used.
Daniel Bryan posted the following on Twitter.
It's a #NewEra for #SDLive and a new era needs NEW Championships! Tonight @shanemcmahon & I will debut TWO new titles exclusive to #SDLive!
