Quite a few names have parted ways with Impact Wrestling in 2017, and it looks like more names could be leaving the company in the future. Former TNA World Heavyweight Champion James Storm was one of the most recent departures, and fans were sad to see him go because Storm has been a cornerstone of Impact Wrestling for many years now.
Storm had a six figure contract with Impact Wrestling, and it was recently reported that the reason why he left is because the company can’t afford contracts like that anymore.
With Impact cutting costs and offering less money to talents when it comes time to sign a new contract, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that former TNA World Champions Bobby Lashley and EC3 will be the stars to keep an eye on, as they could be on their way out of the company if they’re not offered the right deal.
Speaking of former Impact stars, Chad Lail, better known to TNA fans as Gunner, signed a deal with WWE earlier this year, and he’s spent the past few months working for the NXT brand.
He recently took to Twitter to say that he’s blessed, and he’s happy to call NXT home.
