This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite was the special Fight For The Fallen edition of the show and it aired live from Asheville, North Carolina. The show featured some big moments including Ricochet brutally attacking Swerve Strickland.
PWInsider is reporting that Ricochet’s fiancé Samantha Irvin was backstage at Fight For The Fallen. Samantha Irvin parted ways with WWE earlier this year. Following her departure Ricochet publicly stated that Irvin wasn’t planning to join All Elite Wrestling.
It’s also being reported that WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix was backstage. Phoenix lives in Asheville with her husband Adam Copeland. The former WWE Champion has been a hot topic following Dynamite as it was revealed this week that Adam Copeland will be using the name Cope from now on.
Cope teamed up with FTR in the main event this week and they picked up a win over Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta. It seems that the feud between Rated FTR and The Death Riders is far from over as Cope indicated following his return at Worlds End that he and FTR are on the hunt for championship gold.
