TV Networks Reportedly Frustrated With Bray Wyatt’s WWE Release

It seems that WWE is doing anything they can to increase the bottom line as the company has released several big names over the last few months due to budget cuts. On Saturday the company announced that Bray Wyatt had been let go, and the response to his release has been less than positive.

Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast recently took to Twitter to report that a network source expressed disappointment regarding Bray Wyatt’s release, and also noted that it’s scary that top stars are being let go.

Bray Wyatt last competed when he was defeated by Randy Orton at WrestleMania 37. He made his final appearance on WWE programming the next night on Raw when he appeared in a Firefly Funhouse segment.

It was recently reported that people backstage in WWE were surprised by Bray Wyatt’s WWE release as he was thought to be a “money maker.” It was also reported that his relationship with Vince McMahon had become very hot and cold behind the scenes, and you can get more on that here.
