Rumors of All Elite Wrestling’s major TV deal have been making the rounds for months now, and all signs signs seem to point to AEW working with Turner Sports.
The Wrap is now reporting that Turner and AEW are in “advanced talks” for a weekly television show on TNT.
However, The Wrap notes that an insider is claiming the deal is “definitely not signed” at this point in time.
It’s being said that the conversations surrounding the deal are “pretty complex” and “not imminent.”
Ideally the two sides would be able to make an announcement at Turner’s upfronts in mid-May, but it’s not a definite that an announcement will be made by then.
If the deal gets signed then a weekly TV show would likely air on TNT, but AEW will also likely have a “multiplatform existence.” It’s also a possibility that AEW’s TV series may not air year-round.
