When it comes to professional wrestling it seems that Trish Stratus has done it all. Stratus is a former WWE Women’s Champion, a Hall of Famer, and she’s also been a part of some high profile WrestleMania matches.
Even though Trish Stratus has had a great career so far, there’s still one more thing she wants to do before she officially retires from in-ring competition.
While talking to Scott Fishman of TV Insider, Trish Stratus praised Nia Jax while revealing that she doesn’t feel like she can fully retire until she’s rag-dolled by Nia Jax.
“Nia Jax, I’m so happy she came back. She has a great presence. She has been owning it. I really enjoy watching her. I have this weird thing where I don’t think I could fully retire until I’m rag-dolled by her. Is that weird? Imagine that? Then I can retire [laughs].
In recent weeks WWE announced the new Women’s United States Championship and Women’s Intercontinental Championship belts. The inaugural champions are set to be crowned at Saturday Night’s Main Event later this month and Trish shared her thoughts on what the belts mean for the industry.
“I think it’s amazing. This is exactly what we wanted back in the day. We wanted the same opportunities and exposure as the men. Now this is a big step to have that level of competition. Having the titles means you’re going to have matches for those titles. There is room for multiple feuds over the titles and influx of characters. It creates opportunities for more characters on the show, who happen to be female.”
