You never know who might show up at SmackDown and this week Trish Stratus was sitting in the audience. During the show Wade Barrett interviewed Trish and asked the Hall of Famer if she’ll be at Elimination Chamber in Toronto next month. Stratus confirmed that she will be at the show, but joked that she didn’t know if she’d be in a seat, or a suite.
Later in the night Tiffany Stratton defended her WWE Women’s Championship against Nia Jax. The match ended in a disqualification after Candice LeRae attacked Stratton which led to LeRae and Jax beating Stratton down once the referee called for the bell.
Trish Stratus hopped over the barricade and tried to make the save for Tiffany Stratton, but she was laid out by the heels. WWE officials then made their way out and escorted Jax and LeRae to the back. As they were leaving Charlotte Flair came down to the ring to announce that she will be challenging Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 41.
Later in the show Byron Saxton asked Tiffany Stratton for her reaction to Charlotte’s announcement. Trish Stratus appeared and suggested that they team up to face Nia Jax and Candice LeRae in a tag team match at Elimination Chamber. Tiffany Stratton made it clear that she loved the suggestion.
Trish Stratus last stepped into the ring earlier this month when she entered the women’s Royal Rumble match at number 25. Now it seems that she’ll be stepping into the ring once again at Elimination Chamber on Saturday, March 1st.
