This year’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view featured the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match, and it was Asuka who won the match and the right to challenge the champion of her choice for a title at WrestleMania 34 in April.
Asuka’s impressive performance wasn’t the only highlight of the Royal Rumble, as some big names also returned during the match such as Trish Stratus, Lita, Torrie Wilson, Molly Holly, Beth Phoenix and more.
Trish Stratus managed to eliminate 3 people while she was in the match for 5:36, but she was eventually eliminated by former Raw Women’s Champion Sasha Banks, who entered the match first and lasted 54:46 before being eliminated.
Luckily there’s no hard feelings between Banks and Stratus, as the WWE Hall of Famer recently took to Twitter to praise the current Raw star.
John Cena is set to wrestle at the WWE live event at Madison Square Garden on March 16th, and Cena is being advertised for a mixed tag team match that will see him team with Nikki Bella to take on Elias and Bayley.
You can check out the video package advertising the match below.
