Trish Stratus, Lita And All Of The Surprise Entrants From The Women’s Royal Rumble Match

Sunday night the women of WWE made history at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view as they competed in the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match.

The match has been rumored for quite some time, and Stephanie McMahon confirmed the history battle royal a few weeks ago, while Kurt Angle followed up with an announcement confirming there would be 30 entrants.

Prior to the match only 17 participants were confirmed, so there were plenty of open spots for surprise entrants in the match.

Lita was the first surprise entrant to make her way into the match, and she faced off with Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks after entering at number 5.

Lita managed to make the first elimination when she took Mandy Rose out of the match.

NXT star and winner of the first ever Mae Young Classic, Kairi Sane, was the second surprise entrant and she entered the match at number 6.

Lita also eliminated Tamina, but she was then eliminated by Becky Lynch.

Torrie Wilson recently claimed that she wouldn’t be appearing in the women’s Royal Rumble match, but she entered at number 9 and eliminated Dana Brooke. Torrie was eliminated by Sonya Deville a few minutes later.

Former WWE Women’s Champion Molly Holly made her surprise entrance in the number 12 spot.

Michelle McCool entered the match at number 14.

McCool eliminated Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan of The Riott Squad, Molly Holly and Lana.

Vickie Guerrero entered the match at number 16 and screamed “excuse me” over and over again and demanded all the women in the ring listen to her. They all stopped what they were doing and threw her over the top rope.

As Vickie was leaving, Carmella made her entrance, and Vickie hit Carmella with her own Money in the Bank briefcase before she entered the match.

Former WWE Divas Champion Kelly Kelly made her return to the ring when she entered the match at number 19.

Attitude Era star Jacqueline entered the match at number 21.

NXT Women’s Champion Ember Moon entered the match at number 23 with a wrapped up shoulder, as the crowd chanted “NXT.”

WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix then made her way to the ring at number 24 as Nia Jax stood alone, and Beth Phoenix brought the fight to Jax as the fans chanted, “this is awesome.”

She teamed up with Natalya to battle Nia Jax, but Natalya turned on her and eliminated her from the match.

Nikki Bella made her return to the ring at number 27 and she eliminated Carmella. Brie Bella came out next at number 28.

WWE Hall of Famer Trish Status was the final surprise entrant in the match and she entered at number 30.

In the end it came down to Sasha Banks, The Bella Twins and Asuka, and Asuka eliminated Nikki Bella to earn a title shot at WrestleMania.
