Vince McMahon recently retired from WWE and with Triple H being put in charge of WWE creative there’s a lot of excitement regarding where the product could go from here.
Over the last few weeks fans have already seen some changes on WWE programming, and it looks like The Game could be aiming to present a more wrestling focused show in the months to come.\
Legendary wrestling promoter Jerry Jarrett recently took part in a Q&A session at The Gathering in Charlotte, North Carolina and during the session he revealed that Triple H shared some insight into his vision for WWE during a recent phone call.
“They didn’t tell me not to tell anybody. So I’ll tell you, Hunter called, this week, the Raw crew and the Smackdown crew and said, ‘My father-in-law and Stephanie’s father…We admire him and we respect him. He reached success that we would never know without him, but we don’t know how to do it his way, and we’re not going to try. We’re going to try a new way’…and I think the new way is to put wrestling instead of sports entertainment. I mean, that’s pure speculation on my part.”
It was recently reported that WWE is loosening up when it comes to letting talents improvise on the mic and in the ring, and that previously banned words such as “wrestler” and “wrestling” are no longer banned. Triple H is also looking to make aggressive changes to the roster and you can get more on that here.
