Triple H is Chris Jericho’s guest on the latest episode of the Talk Is Jericho podcast, which is available here.
During the interview, Triple H discussed the Kliq (Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Sean Waltman) and the influence that they had on WWE in the 90s. He also talked about first riding with the group and said that he had tried riding with other wrestlers like Man Mountain Rock, but they “were misery” and didn’t like talking about the business.
One night at the Boston airport, he was by himself renting a car when Nash waved him out of line and invited him to join them in their van. They drove to Portland and did a show, and after the event things got messy.
“Long story short, we carried (1-2-3) Kid (Waltman) out, Shawn can barely carry him with me,” Triple H recalled. “Kevin drags Scott out, because we’re trying to get out of there before the cops come and we’re trying to avoid the rush of the guys who are coming out with us. I’m slapping the crap out of Kid in the parking lot because I can’t feel his heartbeat and we all end up in the emergency room. And this is my first night (hanging out with the Kliq)!”
The Game said that despite the rough night, he still got up at 7 in the morning with Nash to train, which would become a pattern.
