We’re only a few days away from the big Monday Night Raw premiere on Netflix, and anticipation for the show is at an all time high. For years now Raw has been a three hour show, but the third hour was cut back in October for the remainder of the show’s run on USA Network. Now that Raw is making the jump to streaming everyone is wondering what they can expect regarding the length of each episode.
During a recent appearance on the SI Media podcast with Jimmy Traina, Triple H talked a little bit about how the runtime for Raw is being approached, and he indicated that the show won’t have to fit into typical time constraints.
“It’ll be flexible in that I don’t think necessarily the time constraints of network television or cable television apply. I think much like many shows, they have the ability to do whatever the show needs to have done.
So if this episode needs to be an hour, great, it’s an hour, this next episode needs to be 42 minutes, it’s 42 minutes. It’s what makes for the best product. Now, I’m not saying that we’re going to be 42 minutes, but clearly we’ll deliver the product in a way that is best for Netflix and for their business model and what is best for our storytelling.”
