This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw took place from Montreal, Quebec and the show kicked off with Rhea Ripley vacating the WWE Women’s World Championship due to injury.
When the show returned from commercial break Triple H made a surprise appearance and he made his way to the ring. A podium was set up in the middle of the ring holding what appeared to be title belts covered up.
The Game said a whole new era started at WrestleMania 40, then Adam Pearce pointed out how two new sets of WWE Tag Team Champions were crowned on the Grandest Stage of Them All. Raw Tag Team Champions Awesome Truth were then called to the ring and the fans chanted “You deserve it!” Triple H congratulated the champions and said that they made history at WrestleMania. He said it’s a new era, so if they’re going to represent the titles they need to do it in a way that will represent the new era.
Triple H told Awesome Truth that going forward they will be known as the World Tag Team Champions. The Game then presented the new WWE World Tag Team Championship belts.
R-Truth went on a rant calling Triple H a magician as he told Hunter that he made new titles out of “thing oxygen.” The Miz then stepped in and spoke French to R-Truth explaning to him that the belts belong to them. Tripl He asked if he could “just go” then took the Raw Tag Team Titles from Awesome Truth and presented them with the new belts. Before Triple H left the ring he told Adam Pearce “Good luck, it’s all yours.”
