For decades Triple H was one of the top stars in professional wrestling, but The Game has not wrestled since 2019. After dealing with some heart issues Triple H officially retired from in-ring competition when he left his boots in the ring at WrestleMania 38, and he’s made it clear that he will not be returning for another match.

Triple H discussed a hypothetical dream match during a recent appearance on Good Morning America, and he explained why he would want to step into the ring with Roman Reigns if he was still in his prime.

“If I got back in at this point I’d be wrestling Father Time is what I’d be doing. Nobody, mostly me, wants to see me back in the ring. It’s hard for me to say. I think if — in this moment right now, a current superstar — if I could go back in time and do what I did in my peak, it would be Roman Reigns.”

“He’s a great guy, incredible talent, incredible performer. Out making movies right now, still a WWE Superstar but branching out into Hollywood. He’s going to be a massive, massive [star].”

While Triple H never faced off against The Tribal Chief, he did clash with The Big Dog when Roman Reigns defeated Triple H to become the new WWE Champion in the main event of WrestleMania 32.
