The current SmackDown Live tour in South America has experienced a couple shake-ups recently. In fact that rings true for the rest of the WWE Universe at this point. This is evident by the fact that TLC now features Kurt Angle returning to the ring and Finn Balor vs AJ Styles.
The Phenomenal One was pulled from the South American tour and reports were he was experiencing an illness. But then he was placed on the TLC card making many wonder how sick he really was in the first place. Some believe this was just a clever way to get Styles back to the United States.
Kevin Owens also needed to leave the South American tour. He had a family situation he needed to get to and it couldn’t be avoided. He is not sick, he is not injured, and he also had WWE’s full blessing to go home early.
But since there is such a void in the current South American tour it looks like they’re going to bring in some big guns to fill in the empty space on the card. It turns out WWE is going all out for this replacement because Triple H is stepping in the ring for the Santiago Chile show on the tour.
It looks like Triple H might have an opponent too because The Lone Wolf Baron Corbin is setting down a challenge. Well, it’s more of a threat to Triple H to stay away from the United States Champion.
It’s pretty cool Triple H is making the flight to Chile to have a match, but this has to be a last-minute addition to the tour due to the loss of star power when AJ Styles and Kevin Owens were pulled from the tour.
It’s just a good thing neither AJ or Kevin is too sick to work, but it also makes me wonder where WWE could turn to next if the needed another huge star to fill in. I guess there’s always Daniel Bryan.
