Triple H was once one of the most active in-ring competitors in WWE, but over the last few years he’s been focused on working behind the scenes and building up NXT.
A recent SEC filing revealed that Triple H has a new job title, and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that internally and externally Triple H’s new title is seen as a quiet demotion.
It was noted that in his role as EVP of Talent, Live Events and Creative Triple H was the head of talent relations, his main job, but also oversaw many other departments.
The Game has reportedly been moved away from being in charge of talent and his main duties are NXT, selling NXT TV rights overseas, and expanding NXT globally.
It was also noted that Brad Blum, Vince McMahon’s Chief of Staff, took over Triple H’s other duties as Executive Vice President of Operations.
Triple H’s new title gives the impression that he negotiates with talent, but that is something he has been removed from doing. Mark Carrano reportedly no longer reports to Triple H and now reports to Brad Blum.
